Lily began her artistic career with the classic oil paint medium. As a primarily self taught artist, she continues to develop her own personal style with inspiration that comes from both within as well as the beauty she observes each day.
Lily Adamczyk has been painting, displaying and selling her works for over 35 years. She has been active primarily in the Southern California art communities including galleries in La Jolla, Santa Barbara, San Juan Capistrano, Laguna ,Ventura, and Marina Del Ray. As a current resident of Las Vegas, NV, Lily continues to exponentially expand her critical acclaim and successful style with her new pieces.
Ms. Adamczyk is quoted as saying: “Early on with my career, I developed a serious passion to express myself though painting. Each time I start a new piece, I feel as though I am starting on a new adventure; I never know where it may take me!”
While favoring landscapes, seascapes and historical landmarks, she also enjoys private commission work. She excels when it comes the objective is to transform people’s mental images into visual reality. Since moving to Vegas she has developed a real passion for the beauty found in the local deserts of Nevada, a subject matter that is very new and different from her previous pieces.
She also enjoys giving private instructions and workshops around the Las Vegas area to the lucky few who have the raw talent that she can transform.
She started her career on the beaches of Southern California with oil Paintings of seascapes and local landscapes. However, while living in New York, she began to experiment with watercolors finding that the medium really lent themselves to the New York landscapes and styles she was trying to convey. While these are her two primary mediums, she has also experimented with acrylics, enamels and many other mediums.
In New York, Lily was the “Artist in Camp” at Pat Mitchell’s in Apalachin, NY. Pat Mitchell's is a local hot spot known for it's eclectic sales, gourmet treats, and evolution from an historical train depot. During that same time, she spent two years as the Resident Artist at The Art Space Gallery of New York.
Lily’s oil and watercolor paintings have appeared in numerous exhibitions and won numerous awards. Most honorably, she has been included as one of the Best Oil Painters in the World by Kennedy Publishing of their 2010 book. http://www.bestofartists.com/ She earned the First Place title in the Torret Grey contest sponsored by Gamblin Paints 2004. She also placed First in the Santa Paula 66th Art and Photography Show. She first place in the “Douglas Shively Award of Excellence.” Ramona, CA County Fair First place in oils. In the 67th Santa Paula Show, she swept the awards show in a brilliant trifecta by placing First in Oils, First as “Peoples Choice”, and “Best in Show”- a first in the Shows long and illustrious run. At the Ramona Rodeo Art Festival she also took First Place in Oils. Another First place for her oil painting in the College of Southern Nevada Art Gallery. She has also contributed to Wyland's Whale murals.

Her portfolio includes contributions to many different groups and gallerys such as: City of the World, Studio 8 Ten, Art Center at Neonopolis, Saxbys, Stephen Clayton Galleries, Carlsbad Art Association, Carlsbad Gallery, The Canvas Project, Art House Gallery, Balboa Park Spanish Village Art Center, City of Las Vegas Arts Commission, America's Best Art Gallery, Oceanside Harbor Days, En Plein Air, California Association of Professional Artists, Taste of Las Vegas, The Nevada AIDS Project, Helldorado, Bridge Counsel, BusinessWeek, Poker Magazine, The Arts Factory, The Art Encounter, Fine Art America, The Old Ramona Hotel Gallery, New Horizons Academy, and Contemporary Arts Center Las Vegas. She is represented at North Winds Gallery (Ventura, CA) and continues to expand her clientele. Her works are included in public, professional, and private collections throughout Las Vegas, California, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Illinois, North Carolina, New York and Europe.
