Robert Boroffice new article content ... Prof. Robert Ajayi Boroffice was born on April 23 1949. He began his University education at the University of Ibadan, shortly after he graduated from Victory College, Ikare Akoko, distinguishing himself as one of the top students in his class with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology with a 2nd Class Upper division and then going on to earn his Ph.D degree in Hunman Genetics in 1975. He soon became a lecturer at U.I until he was appointed proffessor of Zoology at Lagos State University, Ojoo Lagos. His doctoral and post-doctoral research work were in the areas of human congenital malformations, carcinogenesis and mutagenesis and in addition to his academic work, he held various administrative positions serving in the university senate in U.I and Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, and Chairman, Committee of Deans at Lagos State University.
In 1992 Prof. Boroffice was appointed the Coordinating Director for Science in the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), kicking of his career as a public servant. While at NASENI, he was charged with the responsibility of implementing Science and Engineering Infrastructure Program of the country, focusing on biotechnology, Information and Communication Technology and Space Science and Technology.
