gCut 1.0 is a free open source DNA restriction analysis tool which was written in python by Amir Chaouki and distributed under the BSD license.
Description[edit]
Restriction enzymes are used in genetic engineering in various applications especially modifying DNA sequence by cutting it to fragments.So gCut helps Biologists to predict existing sequences of DNA fragments.
Input[edit]
Input sequences are just in FASTA format.
Output[edit]
Output sequences will be written in the same input file and the necessary cuts will be presented as a line break.
