"End of an Era" is a song by English-Albanian singer Dua Lipa, featured as the opening track on her third studio album Radical Optimism (2024).[2] It was released on 3 May 2024 through Warner Records UK. Lipa collaborated with Danny L Harle, Kevin Parker, Caroline Ailin, and Tobias Jesso Jr. to co-write the song, with Harle and Parker taking on the production. The song's lyrics explore her relationship with her boyfriend, British actor Callum Turner,[3] and that she used to focus on self-love and leaving her romances behind.[4]

Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism album "capture[s] the essence of youth and freedom and having fun" in life's pivotal moments, including difficult farewells and fragile new beginnings. "End of an Era," is described by her as a "hopeful, manifestation song" that is "really fun and dance-y."[5]

Critical reception

In a positive review for Business Insider, Callie Ahlgrim called "End of an Era" one of the "best songs" on the album.[6]
