Environmental Science and Resource Management Program The Environmental Science and Resource Management Program was a uniquely named program founded along with its university (California State University Channel Islands) in 2002. This program both trains undergraduates and conducts applied research into various management challenges in coastal California as well as in Louisiana, Mexico, the Arctic Ocean, and Turkey. The young program has particular strengths in ecological restoration, geospatial information systems, and human dimensions of protected area management.
Three full time faculty and numerous part-time faculty teach a variety of subjects, primarily centered around the coastal zone of Southern California.
