Joe Randolph is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at St. Joseph Health System (SJHS), based in Orange, California.

Mr. Randolph has been with the St. Joseph Health System for more than 20 years, serving in both finance and operations. Mr. Randolph began his career at St. Jude Medical Center as the Controller from 1987 to 1992.


From 1992 to 1996, he served as Chief Financial Officer for SJHS’s St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California. As CFO of St. Jude, he helped improved the financial performance of the hospital, participated in recruitment of medical groups, and negotiated the acquisition of new surgery centers. From 1995 to 1996, he concurrently, held the title of CFO for SJHS as well.


He spent 10 years as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for SJHS. While CFO, he helped the health system achieve the highest bond credit rating of any system in California, managed the financial performance and growth of the organization as it tripled its net revenue, and negotiated the acquisition of several hospitals in both California and Texas.


Among the honors he has received are the “Presidents Club” award by the Gallup Organization in recognition of excellence in leadership and employee satisfaction for three consecutive years, the "Values in Action Service" Award from St. Jude Medical Center, and nomination for the "Values in Action Excellence" Award by SJHS.


Mr. Randolph holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton."
