Through twelve eventful decades of its history, Rajkumar College, Raipur, Raipur is the capital city of the state of Chhattisgarh, India, is one of the leading Public Schools of the country and the only one in the State of Chhattisgarh. Established in 1882, Rajkumar College is one of the founder members of the Indian Public School’s Conference. The School was opened to educate the children of the erstwhile Ruling Chiefs of Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Bihar. In 1940, the gates of the School were opened for one and all without any distinction to caste, creed and religion.
Raipur is the capital of the state Chhattisgarh and situated in the heart of Chhattisgarh region on the Mumbai - Howrah main railway line via Nagpur. It is connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Bhuvneshwar, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad and Kolkata with regular flights while with Banaras, Allahabad, Vishakhapatnam and Bangalore, it is connected with regular trains. The city is famous for this institution, its industries and its rich cultural heritage.
Rajkumar College is an institution where excellence is tradition; each student is special and has the potential to excel in many different spheres. The founding fathers of the College rightly chose the, College motto as

meaning:“A Raja is honored in his own country, a learned man throughout the world”.
In keeping with the motto, the school aims to provide quality liberal education in Humanities, Commerce and Science. Through carefully crafted interaction and activities within and outside the classroom; experiences which help the student to discover innate capabilities are central to the mission of blossoming young talents; sets lifelong goals and proactively towards their fulfillment.
The College has as its backbone excellent infrastructure, updated teaching laboratories, large number of playgrounds and ample facilities for the inmates in the hostel and classrooms. The classrooms at Rajkumar College, move beyond the responsibilities of mere text book learning and becomes a forum for cultivating opinions, an experience which is encouraged by a vibrant faculty; curriculum is emphasised.
