The Analyst
[edit]The Analyst, is an American Death Metal band from South Bend, Indiana. The band was formed in early 2006, made up former band members of then recently disbanded local acts in the Michiana area. After playing shows in and around the Michiana area, the band started to gain local notability as it captured the attention of and subsequently signed to the independent lable, Innerstrength Records. Since then the band has been included in several tours, in addition to many lineup changes. The Analyst has additional recordings of singles not featured on an album, which were made mainly available through download on various sites, or YouTube.
Formation
[edit]The Analyst was formed in May, 2006. The founding members include; drummer Brandon Tabor, guitarist Callen Burke, and Alex Wilkinson, bassist Mike Bradberry, and vocalist Jeff Scott. The idea for the band came together with the meeting of Brandon Tabor, Mike Bradberry, and guitarist Alex wilkinson. Shortly after, Wilkinson introduced Tabor to Callen Bukre, a very talented guitarist and boyhood friend of Wilkinson's. Burke would prove to be the crucial drive for the bands sound, providing the guitar solos that thier music would become known for. Both Jeff Scott, and Brandon Tabor, were members of a recently disbanded act. originally Jeff Scott was not to be a member, but was conscripted to the vocal position after trying to find someone to fill the void.
Musical Career
[edit]In early 2006 The Analyst started writing music. Before ever playing a show, with a self-produced recording of the first song they wrote, named "The End Times, and Tribulations," the band found local success. Over the next several months the band played locally and in July of 2007 recorded their next single, "The Black Gate," which was to be included in their debut album. It was at this time that vocalist Jeff Scott left the band. The position was to be quickly filled by current vocalist James Linciewicz. After the recording of "The Black Gate," the band garnered the attention of the independent label Innerstrength Records. Within a few months, in October of 2007, the band signed with the label. After signing with Innerstrength the band had started work on their debut album, "Summoning The Wretched." The Album opened to mostly positive reviews, and had marginal distibution to retailors. Following the the release of the album, the band found billing on many tours since. Some notable acts that have since played, or toured with them include; Despised Icon, Salt The Wound, Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel, and Dying Fetus. In november of 2008, guitarist, Callen Burke, left the band to concentrate on school. Paul Kellner filled the void on the guitar, but left the band in late 2009. In between this period, James too left the band for a short period in mid 2009, forcing the band to again, for a brief period, find a replacement on vocals. The current lineup consists of, Brandon Tabor, Mike Bradberry, Alex Wilkinson, and James Linciewicz. Currently the band has a new single, "Fearless Impunity," as well as planning a Canadian tour, and are continuing to write for their next release.
