As of 2018 Tynong North and Frankston Murders were Australia's biggest unsolved serial killings by number. Bodies of four women were found in Tynong North in 1980 and 1983 and bodies of two more women were found in Frankston in 1980 and 1981. Victims were Catherine Headland 14, Ann-Marie Sargent 18, Bertha Miller 75, Narumol Stephenson 34, Allison Rooke 59 & Joy Summers 55. All six women were killed between May 1980 and November 1981, all of them disappeared when they were waiting for public transport or when they were on foot[1][2][3]. In 2017 prime suspect in these killings denied his involvement [4].
