The series starts with the hospitalization and subsequent death of Yulje's chairman. Song-hwa and Jun-wan discover at the funeral that the chairman's youngest son is their friend Jeong-won. He is set to inherit his father's position with the support of the board of directors, but he gives it up to the more experienced director of Yulje Foundation, Joo Jong-soo, on the condition that he will receive all the profits from the VIP wards. Song-hwa, Jun-wan, Ik-jun accept to work at the VIP wards with Jeong-won, while Seok-hyeong says he will only accept if they reunite their band. Jeong-won blackmails Jun-wan into joining and convinces Song-hwa to agree, on the condition that she will be the band's vocalist. Their first practice session brings back memories of when they first met during med school. Meanwhile, Song-hwa helps a woman whose mother has been diagnosed with cancer and whose son needs a liver transplant. After one of his patients dies, Jeong-won drunkenly reiterates that he wants to resign and become a priest. His eldest brother, a priest himself, advises him to wait one more year.
