Annie Padden Jubb is an author, lecturer, radio and television personality, and restaurant owner. She is a pioneer of the Raw foodism movement and has coined the term “Life Food” for her signature program of bio-based nutrition.
She is the author of The LifeFood Recipe Book: Living on Life Force and Secrets of an Alkaline Body: The New Science of Colloidal Biology, both published by North Atlantic Books.[1]
She and her former husband Dr. David Jubb hosted and produced The Universe Inside Our Mind, a TV show that aired on Manhattan cable from 1997-2001.[2] They also hosted a weekly live lecture series together in New York City from 1991-2000.[3] In the late 1980s, they developed Whole Brain Functioning, an experiential learning program designed to accelerate personal transformation through shared ritual, including firewalking, sweat lodge ceremonies, and ropes course high elements, which also incorporated aspects of neuro-linguistic programming and adherence to a vegetarian raw food diet.[4]
She has been a corporate retreat trainer, and has worked for companies such as the Neill Corporation, a major supplier of Aveda beauty products,[5] and Sole Technology, an American footwear company run by former pro skateboarder Pierre André Senizergues.[6]
In 1998 she briefly became the owner of The Raw Experience, a restaurant in San Francisco serving raw, organic, and vegan cuisine.[7] From 2001-2009 she was the owner of Jubb's Longetivity, Inc., a store in New York City which retailed health products and herbal remedies.[8] Currently she owns and runs LifeFood Organics, a restaurant in Hollywood which serves raw food cuisine and sells health care and beauty products.[9]
She has worked with Daryl Hannah,[10] and provided LifeFood training to Jill Pettijohn, Donna Karan's personal chef.[11][12][13]
