Martha Skewermann (January 1, 1954 – ) is a fictional American investigative journalist and activist, best known for her definitive work chronicling the administration of Mayor Ronnie Chump (fictional mayor of the fictional city of Washtown).
Martha Skewermann was created as a satirical mockumentary-style personality with dry wit and a penchant for double-meanings, wordplays and surreal or left field humour. Skewermann is known for advancing social justice, human rights and civil rights through nonviolence, through the timeless elements of ancient Greek drama including bathos, peripeteia and catharsis and by way of 'wet lettuce'-style gibes, tactics which her humanitarian beliefs, the comic works of teams including Monty Python and The Two Ronnies, and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi and Sadhguru helped inspire.
In addition to her writings in the area of investigative journalism, Martha Skewermann creates and/or distributes home-style recipes which, as context demands, may or may not be satirical.
