User:Rangermatthias

The username "Rangermatthias" comes from the name I started using on the KenzerCo forums several years ago. It is from a character I played in a long running AD&D game - Matthias the Ranger. I have since used the name as my 'handle' on most forums and sites.

My real first name is Matthew and, as I made Matthias based on a romanticized version of myself, I gave him a similar name.

My basic bio is: I was born in a small town near Nashville Tn, in 1970. I grew up (sorta), got married, found out I had an incurable brain and spine malformation called Chiari and Syringomyelia and I had to have brain surgery to help with the symptoms.

I first majored in Biology, but eventually changed to Sociology, as I find both Animal Behavior and Human Behavior similar and quite facinating. I am an avid reader, I'm a fan of most genres of "escapist fantasy", in particular sci-fi and the supernatural and, to paraphrase Issac Asimov, 'I am interested in everything under the Sun...and beyond!'
