Stuart Catley (born 22 May 1992 in Hastings, New Zealand) is a semi professional rugby union referee who currently referees for the Hawke's Bay Rugby Referees Association in the Hawke's Bay Premier Club competition.

Early Life[edit]

Stuart Catley was born on the 22nd of May 1992 to his parents, Sharon & Peter Catley. The youngest of 4 siblings, Stuart was educated at Waipukurau Primary School and later on Central Hawkes Bay College.

Refereeing[edit]

Stuart began refereeing as a young boy and quickly rose through the ranks, the most notable achievent was on the 21st of May 2011, when Stuart refereed his first Premier mens club match between Taradale and Tamatea, one day before his 19th birthday, making him the youngest ever premier referee for his province to date.

Stuart will also be an assistant official in the 2012 ITM Cup for Hawke's Bay home fixtures
