Ehsan Matoori is an Iranian composer and santoor player.[1][2][3] He is the founder and director of AramArt World Music & Art Institute.[4]

Matoori is also a writer of five books on music.[5]

Early life and career

Born in 1979 in Iran, Matoori received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Iran.[4][5]

In 2013, he moved to the United States and received a degree in composition from Southern Methodist University.[5]

In July 2019, he started The Voices and Bridges project.[6] He recorded the first single, El Sueño, along with Ghorbani and Argentine mezzo-soprano Solange Merdinian as part of the project.[6][7]

In August 2019, he released another song composed by him which later received an award in Global Music Awards.[4]

In July 2020, his single, Nāznīnay, was released.[7] It was a bilingual song which was composed and produced by him.[6]

In June 2021, he released another single, Nostalgia.[8]
