Requesting to expand this bot task to include improper headings and typos in common section headings. For example: External link > External links, Further reading > Further readings and some of the common and undisputed typos of Wikipedia:Adopt-a-typo/MOS:APPENDIX headings. -- Cheers, Riley 06:07, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- @Riley Huntley: Just so you're not reinventing the wheel, AWB general fixes already does some of this. If you come across any common errors that AWB doesn't already fix, you might want to submit a feature request. GoingBatty (talk) 05:42, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- @GoingBatty: Good to know, thanks. I'm looking to be a bit more proactive than that and target these pages, instead of waiting for someone to come along. -- Cheers, Riley 06:34, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- @Riley Huntley: No objection to you targeting these pages. Wondering if header changes that are already part of AWB general fixes could be done automatically to save you some time. GoingBatty (talk) 17:42, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Approved for trial (40 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. By the by: if you were planning on using [1]'s edit summary, 'capitalization' is misspelled... — Earwig talk 06:54, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Trial complete. See edits For future cases, I'd add general fixes to the edit summary like so: (Bot: Correcting capitalization and general fixes) (Task 16) -- Cheers, Riley 08:29, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved. A few things, though. Generalize the summary so edits like this one aren't as confusing. (Try "Correcting capitalization or standardizing section headings".) Also, remember to not edit as your bot by accident! — Earwig talk 08:10, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
