VP10 - preliminary compression techniques (Draft version)

VP10 is an open and royalty free video compression standard being developed by Google. VP10 is a successor to VP9.

History[edit]

Development of VP10 started in Q3 2014. [1] One of the goals for VP10 is to reduce the bit rate by 30-40% compared to VP9 and offer software decoding at 60 fps for 1080p. Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).
