Ian Rutherford (born 1959 in Melbourne) is an Australian keyboardist and composer. Rutherford wrote and co-wrote with Anthony Brewin for Steely Dan influenced Melbourne band Mu-Theory from 2009 onward completing three studio albums. A reformed line-up is working on a fourth album.
Solo projects, backed by Ian Rutherford Plus Five, take a concept album approach with vocal and instrumental support from a host of mainly online musicians. [1]
