Sébastien Dorey (SDO) graduated from the Stevens institute of technology to complete his studies done at EPITA a french school. He is an engineer of study and, worked in the field of Telecomunication within different sectors of industries.

History

He started programming back in the 80's with an Apple IIc with the famous Applesoft Basic. At the university he learnt computer programming and, he started with Microsft. He was tought Unix too. He installed his first OS Windows 3.1 with 6 Floppy Disks after a while he installed FreeBSD with 16 floppy disks... At school/uni he learnt in 1995 how to use Internet and, he started reading news groups^{[ng 1]} and, finding solutions on Deja News. At this time (around 1994/1995) he had only heard from friends about Linux as a light and unstable version of Unix.

Activities achieved

Sébastien was a member in several associations that deals with computers. There, he gave talks^{[caw 1]}^{[caw 2]}. Sébastien was a contributor to some books in french/english ^{[wg 1]}^{[ctb 1]}^{[ctb 2]}^{[ctb 3]}^{[ctb 4]}^{[ctb 5]}^{[ctb 6]}^{[ctb 7]} regarding scriptings, by suggesting a few useful corrections or improvements...

Sébastien enjoyed watching good or bad genre movies at cinema of art and essays, movie theatres, cellars, home... At film festivals ^[1]^[2].
