Eng. Md Shamsul Alam Samrat

Md. Shamsul Alam is a Bangladesi engineer born in 1991. He obtained Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology in 2014. He went to Government Netrokona College in 2009 and Jahangirpur T. Amin Pilot High School in the first decade of twentyth century. He is the only son of Md. Harun - Ar - Rashid and Mamata Akter. His home district is at Madan Upazila under Netrokona District.

Shamsul Alam joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 2021. At present, he is an Assistant Engineer of Public Works Department. Prior joining in BCS, he worked in Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant Project. His engineering skill and expertise made him an outstanding technical specialist and government sent him Russian Federation to work with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Russian State Nuclear Corporation (ROSATOM) and Bangladesh Atomic Energy Agency (BAEC). Before Rooppur NPP project, he worked at BEXIMCO where he closely work with Mr. Salman F. Rahman MP, honorable private sector and industry adviser to the honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.

Mr. Alam is the co-founder of Andromeda Space and Robotic Research Association (ASRRO) and he did some outstanding research on robotics, automation and smart microgrid. His research articles are well recognised among the scientific community. He made Bangla Voice Controlled Robot for the first time in Bangladesh. He led CUET Journalist Association as a president. He is awarded several times for his research and organising ability.

In personal life, he is a married person and his wife Roaksana Firdaus Nigar is an Assistant Professor of Dept. of Islamic Histry and Culture, University of Dhaka.
