Pick Pocket is an American indie rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah, founded by lead singer-songwriter Arcadio Rodriguez and bassist Scott Stevens. The lineup currently consists of lead singer/guitarist Rodriguez, bassist Stevens, and drummer Aaron Merry.
Beginning in 2017, the band began with Rodriguez and Stevens writing songs and recording in the basement of Stevens' home. The duo soon had written enough songs for an EP and began their search for a drummer. Shortly after they introduced Merry on percussion who studied music composition and jazz at the University of Utah with Rodriguez. With Merry quickly learning the songs, the trio set out on playing shows and recording their debut 'Basement EP' released June of 2018 with the help of producer and recording/mixing engineer Chris Teti, best known for being the guitarist in the band The World is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die.
