Scott Parker is a broadcaster known to specialize in building and operating commercial radio stations in affluent resort markets. Born in Los Angeles (1963), Mr. Parker started in radio at age 13, at his high school station, KSPB in Pebble Beach at Robert Louis Stevenson School. Mr. Parker attended the University of Southern California and earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics & Communications in 1987 and interned at KUSC. While at USC, Mr. Parker also attended Saddleback College, taking part in their broadcast program at radio station KSBR. Exiting college, Parker held business and finance positions at Davis Investment Company in Long Beach, California and Manhattan Capital Corporation of Beverly Hills, California. At age 30 in 1994, looking for ownership in the broadcast industry, Parker acquired his first radio station, KECH FM licensed to the city of Sun Valley, Idaho. Parker went on to build and or operate KYZK FM in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, KWYS AM in West Yellowstone, Montana, KEZQ FM also in West Yellowstone, KWYS FM serving Island Park, Idaho and Idaho Falls, KKIT FM in Angel Fire, New Mexico, KXMT FM in Taos, New Mexico, KHBC AM and KHWI in Hilo, Hawaii and KHWA FM in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Parker is currently the general partner of Parrott Broadcasting Limited Partnership. Its oldest station was built in 1936 in Hilo, Hawaii KHBC 1060 AM[1]
