Doyle Thomas Edward (Tommy) Chandler, Jr. is an assistant football coach for the Sumiton Christian High School football team; his specific coaching responsibilities include wide receivers, tight ends, and defensive backs in addition to coordinating special teams and supervising the weight program. He also teaches U.S. history.

Playing Career[edit]

Chandler was raised in Dora, Alabama, where he attended and played wide receiver and cornerback for Dora High School. In 1993, he began attending Auburn University, where he joined the Tigers football program as a walk-on wide receiver. Chandler practiced and played during the Tigers' undefeated season in 1993 under first-year head coach Terry Bowden. After leaving Auburn due to hardships, he returned in August of 2007 and received his degree in history in May of 2009.
