Dr. Shad Bano Ahmad (Urdu: شاد بانو احمد, Hindi: शाद बानो अहमद ), was a Professor at the Department of Sociology at Aligarh Muslim University. She is revered, remembered and renowned for her stint as the First & the Only Lady Proctor, as of 2021, at the central varsity from 1996-1999, during the Vice-chancellorship of Mehmoodur Rehman.[1]Being an adamant administrator and an able academician she has served the varisty with innumerable contributions, both inside and outside the walls of the campus. She is a speaker in English, Hindi, Urdu and French language and a prolific writer. She is regular writer and is author of several articles, research papers, chapters in the edited books on socio-political issues of national and international importance.
