Mental Toughness is comprised of self-belief, thinking clearly, and having resilience. Mental Toughness is divided into four categories which are turnaround toughness, endurance toughness, critical moment toughness, and risk management toughness. Turnaround toughness is when a person can bounce back after a setback. Endurance toughness is when an individual keeps themself mentally and physically fit by eating right, staying active, and getting enough rest in order to have enough stamina to perform under stressful conditions. Critical moment toughness is when a person performs in the clutch. Risk management toughness is when an individual pushes themself out of their comfort zone in order to take calculated risks. If these categories are incorporated into life, mental toughness is achieved (Bull, 2006).
