Gaspar Noé (born December 27, 1963) is an Argentine-born French film director.[1][2][3]

The son of Argentine painter and intellectual Luis Felipe Noé, he grew up variously in Buenos Aires, New York City and Paris, an experience to which he attributes the cultivation of his outsider perspective.[4]

Noé was largely unknown in the English-speaking world until the release of Irréversible (2002).[5]
