1 Marshal of Yugoslavia (Marshal) - Maršal of Yugoslavia was a honorary title of the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces and not a military rank. The first and the only one was given to Josip Broz Tito, who (beside the title of Maršal and Supreme Commander), also held the lifelong function of the President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the leader of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia.

2 General - Ivan Gošnjak, while serving as a defence minister with a rank of General of the Army - 4 star, was considered for promotion, no officers were promoted to this rank.
