About Me
[edit]Hello, I'm Sam (she/her/hers) and I am a graduate student studying Library Science and History at the University of Maryland (UMD), where I also work in the archives. I am specifically focused on special collections and archives, as well as maritime history and pirate history. I am also interested in women's history and LGBT history, which I studied in undergrad.
Conflict of Interest Statement
[edit]I assist in making the UMD archival collections discoverable and accessible to the public. I am currently working within GLAM-wiki to enrich current Wikipedia pages further as well as to create new articles.
When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. I will always work in the best interest of Wikipedia, because that is in line with UMD's educational mission. Any edits I make will aim to contribute subject matter expertise.
