Scott Daniel Wozniak[2][3] (born June 2, 1997), better known by his internet pseudonym Scott the Woz, is an American actor, comedian, director and YouTuber, who writes, directs, and is the main character, of the YouTube web series Scott The Woz.[4][5] Wozniak created his channel on November 7, 2012, however he didn't publish his first video, a comedy sketch titled The Internet and You, until July 21, 2016.[6][7] The first episode of Scott The Woz, titled Nintendo Switch Wish List, was published on January 7, 2017, since then new episodes of the show have been published almost every Sunday, with breaks during the holiday season.[8][9]

Early career[edit]

Wozniak created an earlier YouTube account under the name "Wozniak News TV" in 2010, which he used until 2012 to produce videos before moving to the Scott The Woz channel.[10]

In 2016, Wozniak produced a long-form skit video titled The Internet and You. Originally planned as a project for a high school class, the project was later released on the Scott The Woz YouTube channel.[11] A prop VHS box of The Internet and You appears on Wozniak's desk in episodes of Scott The Woz.

On January 7, 2017, Wozniak uploaded the first episode of the Scott The Woz series, centered around discussing his hopes for the then-upcoming Nintendo Switch. Scott The Woz episodes center around Wozniak providing commentary on video games and other varied topics in a sketch comedy format. Episodes of the show generally release weekly, divided into seasons of 50 episodes, with the final episode of each season being a long-form special episode. The episodes are generally not connected to each other, albeit with some running gags being referenced throughout multiple episodes.

Collaborations[edit]

Wozniak has collaborated with multiple YouTube channels, including appearances on James Rolfe's series James & Mike Mondays and Rental Reviews, along with collaborations with RelaxAlax, ConnorEatsPants, The Completionist, and other video game-related YouTube personalities. He's also done a collaboration with Caddicarus on PlayStation: Battle Royale.

Wozniak has done voice-over work for Did You Know Gaming?, covering episodes on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Resident Evil 4.[13][14]

Innovation & Tech Today stated on Grit Daily News that Wozniak is "one of the most necessary subscribes on YouTube"[15] and Twinfinite's Omar Banat considered Wozniak one of the 23 best gaming YouTubers.[16]

Personal life[edit]

Wozniak stated in a Reddit AMA that he is colorblind[12] after many jokes in Scott the Woz relating to it.
