- Per Jönsson, former analytic at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs and Middle Eastern correspondent called the idea of the West Bank and Gaza constituting a sovereign Palestinian state "a once so promising but now capsized Camp David concept" (own translation from Swedish).[1]

Freedom of conscience
[edit]Freedom of conscience is the freedom of an individual to act upon his or her moral beliefs,[2] In particular, it often refers to the freedom to not do something one is normally obliged, ordered or expected to do. An individual excercising this freedom may be called a conscientious objector (although this often implies an objection to military service in particular).
The right to freedom of conscience is recognized by several international conventions, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights.[3] It is related to, but distinct from, freedom of thought, freedom of expression and freedom of religion.
