Philip Geertsen

Philip Geertsen (born April 21, 1999) is a Norwegian director, cinematographer, screenwriter and producer. He is mostly known for his music videos. The Norwegian filmmaker spent his childhood playing around with cameras and video games. When he became a teenager he started doing music videos, commercials and short films. He has done music videos for artist such as Lars Vaular, Vidar Villa and worked with actors like Odd Magnus Williamson and TV and social media celebrities like Abubakar Hussain and stand up comedian Jonis Josef

Early life

Geertsen was born and raised in Holmestrand, a city located in Vestfold, Norway. He grew up during the early 21st century. Philip had a passion to movies and video games during his childhood. In 2011, he started up his own Youtube channel. At first he only recorded video gameplay and used to commentate over it but in 2013, he went in another direction with his channel. He started creating videos where he talked about different subjects and just everyday stuff. He also did challenges, stunts and vlogs as he had a vide variety of content to his channel. In 2014 he started doing mainly vlogs and his Youtube channel started to get grow more and more. Even though Philip was a norwegian youtuber he made his vlogs talking English, giving him a vide variety of viewers around the globe. Geertsen always had passion for cinematography and screenwriting, in 2015 he made his first short film, witch he wrote, filmed and directed himself. That following year he produced three short films. In 2015 he was one of the co-founders of a media company called Media Crew. Media Crew was a company based on cinematography, photography and graphic design. In 2016 year he also directed his first music video "Her og Nå". The video was produced and published by the youtube channel YLTV witch is Scandinavias biggest Youtube channel for urban music from Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
