Vishal Srivastava (born 2 October 1973) is an Indian cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon. After graduating from King George Medical College, Lucknow, India, he went on to practice at () from () to (). He served as a founding member and surgeon of Medanta - The Medicity. He serves as the (chairman and managing director and ) chief cardiac surgeon of Sahara Hospital. He has served as personal surgeon to (President of India i.e. famous personality), has received numerous awards (all names).
Education and Career
[edit]Dr Vishal did his schooling from Government Inter College in Prayagraj from 1986 to 1991. He then pursued his MBBS from King George's Medical College in Lucknow from 1992-97. He completed his MS from King George's Medical College from 1999 to 2002 in General Surgery. He continued his education relentlessly by taking admission in MCh from PGI Chandigarh incardiothoracic and vascular surgery. It was during this time that he came in contact with Dr Tehran at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre. After his MCh, he left the prestigious teaching offer of PGI in pursuit of something great.
In 2006, he joined Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre under the able mentorship and guidance of Dr. Tehran. He left Escorts along with the Dream Team of Dr. Tehran to lay the stone for Medanta which brought the revolution in the Indian Healthcare System.
A brief look at his career shows the immense wealth of knowledge and experience he has gained as a successful surgeon. He started as a Junior Consultant at Escorts hospital in New Delhi. Thereafter, he acted as the key figure in the CVTS department and helped Dr Tehran set up the renowned Medanta from scratch. For some years he took the role of Consultant at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.
Biography
[edit]Dr Vishal was born on 2nd October, 1973 in Prayagraj. His father was an army personnel in the MES department and his mother was a housewife. He got married in 2003 to Dr. Mona who is a pediatrician . They have a son.
