New article name is The Great Martyr Raghunath Thakur
Raghunath Thakur was the probably first Madhesi voice that stood against the madhesi discrimination in Nepal almost 60 years ago. He attained martyrdom on 21st july 1981 fighting the brutalities of then discrimination of Nepali state, the discrimination continues till date He was borne on 11th July 1934 in the village Bhalbhaleni HariNagra(then) currently known as VDC HariNagra, Dist Sunsari to Father Dev Sundar Thakur as the third child amongst the eight children.
Education: Thakur went to school for primary education in his own village while he completed his Middle school from his maternal uncle's place in Motipur, dist- Saharsha, Bihar of India. He was probably first madhesi student to have acquired scholarship from Government of Nepal to study IA in Banaras HIndu University. According to his contemporary students and fellow students, Thakur was an academically brilliant and thinking student during his studies days. He was a kind of rebellion from very beginnning to see the humiliation of madhesis in their own land.
Works
Thakur has authored many books which highlight the pathetic condition of madhesis in their own motherland. The most notable among them is "Partantra Madhes and uski Sanskriti", A brief book but has a potential to become bible for revolutionaries of madhes.
