Aakhreen Train - The Last Train[edit]

'Aakhreen Train -The Last Train', a Sindhi feature film, is made on the occasion of 75 years of Independence of India. The film is based on a platonic love story by the legendary Sindhi Writer Shri Thakur Chawla. It's about the age of innocence that takes the human relations to a sublime level. Prem and Allahdini are childhood friends and have spiritual connection with each other. The partition of India is a time of loss and  despair for everyone, especially the Sindhi community, having lost their homeland. Prem and Allahdini are deeply affected by the Partition. Prem does not leave for India with his family. He stays back in Sindh. That leads to joy as well as trauma for both, Prem and Allahdini.

' Aakhreen Train -The Last Train' delves deep into the minds and hearts of the two innocent souls. It is the Journey of a Soul.

Plot[edit]

The story is a narrative of a great, peaceful community that has gone through the loss of dear ones. It's seen heartbreaks and grief. But the never-say-die attitude of the Sindhi community has helped it not only survive the catastrophic partition, but it has become stronger and more determined.

The story is unique as it unfolds a humane, touching love story, integrated into the background of the Partition. The Sindhi community was deprived of the right to their beloved Homeland, Sindh, jeopardizing the peace and tranquility of the Land of the Sindhis, no matter what their caste and faith. The film depicts how Sindhis are global in their outlook but remain Indian at heart. Divisions of religion, caste, and community are alien to Sindhis.

The script of the film offers delightful insights into the business philosophies of some of the globally known Sindhi families. The never-say-die attitude helped Sindhis embrace the foreign lands they migrated to. It is a matter of honour that a significant part of the film is shot in the inspiring ambiance of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune, with the blessings of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani and Dada J.P.Vaswani, in the auspicious presence of the benevolent Krishna Didi, the Mission Head.

The film has the inspiring story of Ms. Ramola Motwani, Chairperson, Merrimac Ventures. Ramola Motwani has a clear philosophy on business. She says,‘’ It’s never about just doing good business, but doing good business with good people.’’

Also, as the Chairperson of Merrimac Ventures, Ramola Motwani talks about her work, her achievements, her vision, and her indomitable spirit. Her story is motivational.  Fascinating. Delightful. 'The Last Train,' a two-hour Sindhi feature film, depicts the hardworking and resilient Sindhi community and its fantastic never-say-die spirit. It is an inspiring film. It’s made for the theatrical release followed by the release on the Digital Platforms.

The film is based on a story by the legendary Sindhi writer Shri Thakur Chawla, with the screenplay by Susheel Gajwani and Barkha Khushalani. Dialogues and lyrics are by Barkha Khushalani. The legendary singer and composer Mahesh Chander composed the songs and music for the film. Mahesh Chander, Kajal Chandiramani, Saral Roshan, and Drshika Advani have sung for the film.
