Biography
[edit]Dr. Tae Ho Kim is a New York plastic surgeon that specializes in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery. As a pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon, Dr. Kim’s mission is to restore the natural symmetry and balance of the human face and body for children born with complex physical deformities, such as a cleft palate.
Education
[edit]Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University, and a medical doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his General Surgery training at the University of California, Irvine and completed his research fellowship in Tissue Engineering at Harvard Medical School. He received his Plastic Surgery training at the University of Massachusetts and his fellowship in Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Kim spent more than seven years at Children's Hospital as an attending and assistant professor at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. During his tenure there, he performed more than 2,000 procedures on children with common and complex deformities. Dr. Kim now has served the New York region for the past 3 years as an assistant professor at the New York Medical College to provide comprehensive care in all areas of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, microtia, jaw deformities, hemangiomas, vascular malformations, congenital hand anomalies, and pigmented nevi.
