Louis LaPuma Jr. (born 16 May 1992) is an American student and internet personality. He hosts a regular on the popular social broadcasting website, BlogTV. He also hosts two channels on Youtube.
Early Life
[edit]Louis was born in Elmwood, Illinois, United States of America in 1992 to Louis LaPuma Sr. and Patty LaPuma. Louis LaPuma Sr. is a tradesman. Louis LaPuma Jr. is a full-time student at Belvidere North High School in Belvidere, Illinois.
Career
[edit]Louis claims that he aspires to become an internet celebrity and professionally create BlogTV shows and Youtube sketches. He plans on becoming a OCCUPATION once he graduates from High School.
BlogTV shows
[edit]LaPuma hosts an internet video blog show Sundays to Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm Central Standard Time. The show is an entertainment variety show usually featuring: games, short stories, music, and debates among other things. Common topics of the shows include: sexual promiscuity, pokemon, video games, jokes, and stories. Louis' sister, Katie LaPuma, usually co-hosts the show with Louis. She has also been known to host the show herself on occasion. Each "season" of the show lasts 50 episodes. One notable show occurred (DATE) during season 1, when Louis' show was featured on blogTV's home page and over 150 chatters were within the room at once. Common jokes within the regulars on the show include the people calling Louis a ginger despite the fact that his hair is blond, and insulting regular members of the chat on traits which they exhibit and tendencies that they have.
Season 1
[edit]Season 1 began March 9th, 2010 with Louis' first ever BlogTV show. Season 1 consisted of Louis developing a loyal fan base and finding ways to make the show better through games, stories, etc.. Staple games of season 1 included "The Acronym Game" where Louis would display a randomly-generated acronym on the screen and users within the chat room would attempt to create a logical and/or funny phrase where all words began with those letters. Louis and Katie would then choose their favourite phrase of the acceptable responses. Another staple game of season 1 was "pictionary". This is where Louis draws a picture on the screen and the chatters attempt to be first at guessing what it is that Louis draws. Season 1 ended on May 10th, 2010. Louis then went on a week-long hiatus claiming that he was tired.
Season 2
[edit]Season 2 began on May 17th, 2010. Season 2 is much like season 1, except more people within the room on average. One noticeable difference is that the show is more structured to keep people interested and involved with the happenings. A game was added to the show as well during season 2. The game is called "The Letter Game". In this game, all members are given "ops" or moderator status. Everybody must then begin every one of their posts with a predetermined letter, or they are punished by temporarily losing the right to speak within the chat room for a predetermined amount of time. Also new to season 2 was the addition of "Op challenges". These are either 1 or a combination of many games where the winner gets to become an operator (moderator) permanently. The first winner of an "Op challenge" was "The Undeemed".
Season 3 and beyond
[edit]Louis says that he hopes that his show will become the most watched show on BlogTV. Currently for season 3 of his show, he is planning segments for certain regulars of the show. The segments will be about specific subjects, and they will last for about 30 minutes, once per week. Examples of perspective segments are: pokemon/grammar by "Marco Doubypops", rant by "CharlieChoo", and music from Kezia007. Another possibility for the future of the show is a game to "elect" a new operator. The game is expected to be titled "Op Survivor". In this game, people of the chatroom will be able to participate in challenges, conspire, and kick people out of the game as they wish, until just one "survivor" is remaining, and that person would become the new operator.
Youtube
[edit]Louis runs two channels on the popular video sharing site, Youtube. "Louiskid502" and "HumdingersProduction". Louiskid502 is his personal channel where Louis posts a variety of videos, including: reactions, song parodies, and general blogging. These videos usually have low production value and planning. His most viewed video is a parody of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face". HumdingersProduction on the other hand; is more of a collaboration channel for Louis and some of his friends. This channel is more dedicated to sketch comedy, much like in the style of CollegeHumor. These videos are more planned out and scripted than his personal channel.
Future Plans
[edit]Louis is adamant about getting more youtube material out. He plans on doing more work for HimdingersProduction than Louiskid502. He is also discussing potential collaborations with members of the blogTV group for future sketches.
Personal Life
[edit]Louis currently resides in Elmwood, Illinois with his parents and is a full-time student. Louis usually spends (BLANK) hours per day on internet work. In his spare time, Louis has become an accomplished bowler, who came 2nd in a city-league in 2007. He also enjoys theme parks and has a season pass to Six Flags. He spends most nights playing video games. His favourite games are Rockband 2 and Halo 3. Louis is currently single.
