Utiliz, LLC was founded in April 2016 and is headquartered in Ridgefield, Connecticut – and is dedicated to providing each customer (who pays a low annual fee) with maximum savings on their electric bill at all times.
Co-founders Thomas Place and Kevin Manley come from the financial services sector, so the idea of constantly searching for the best opportunities for their clients comes naturally. Currently serving customers in Connecticut and New York, in coming months Utiliz plans to expand to all 16 states in the U.S. that have deregulated the power industry.
As CEO, Thomas Place brings over a decade of experience on the technology side of the financial services industry, and a proven track record of achieving impressive results for his firm’s clients. Place is a graduate of the University of Nottingham in England, and holds a B.S. in Computer Science.
Kevin Manley, CTO of this new company, has more than 25 years of experience in technology – creating everything from mobile games to hedge fund trading systems. Manley has earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
In addition, the company benefits from the counsel of David Bogan, a member of the Utiliz Board of Directors, who has advised some of the nation’s largest energy companies on acquisitions, and frequently consults with various state energy commissions.
