Born in Scunthorpe lincolnshire. Currently living in Fife, Scotland.

C.L. Monaghan is an Indie author and was born and raised in Lincolnshire in the UK, though she lived in South Africa for two years as a child. An avid reader first, she was inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien, Enid Blyton, Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, and friend and mentor, indie author Ednah Walters (RIP), who encouraged C.L. to write what she wanted to read. And so, C.L. Monaghan's debut novel, Immaginario, brought her book boyfriend to life! A B.A. honours degree in History and English literature feeds her creativity and her paranormal romance and gothic mystery novels, which have won several awards to date, including placing as finalists in their genres in the IAN Book of the Year Awards in 2017/18 and Readers' Favourite Awards in 2018/19. A self-confessed Scotophile, C.L. Monaghan now lives in Fife, Scotland [1]and her books are published by Hudson Indie Ink.

C.L. Monaghan is an English author born in Lincolnshire in 1973. Her bestselling Midnight Gunn series (book one- The Hollows) reached number one in the UK Amazon kindle charts in 2021 and won two finalist awards for excellence in writing. In March 2023 it was also selected for participation in a pilot project run by booksoffice whereby a public vote decided which books were eligible for adaptation into screenplays and optioned for TV. The project was headed by BAFTA award-winning producer Stuart Blackburn

The Hollows: A Midnight Gunn Novel (book one)

Book one of the Midnight Gunn series- 'The Hollows: A Midnight Gunn Novel' has sold in excess of 28,000 digital copies as of 2023. The series is also available in paperback, and audiobook format. C.L. Monaghan books have reached readers and listeners all over the world and her fanbase is growing rapidly. With seven books published so far, C.L. is currently writing her eighth and ninth novel with many more planned. Book five in the Midnight Gunn series 'The Halfbloods' is due for release towards the end of 2023.

In 2020 C.L. was diagnosed with breast cancer and the BRCA2 gene mutation and, with the help of Hudson Indie Ink, founded the Steel Petals Project- a charity book of poems raising money for Maggie's Centres and The Eve Appeal. C.L.'s plight and the project attracted support from newspapers and television news programs, as well as notable celebrities such as Julia Bradbury, Hugh Bonneville, and Tamzin Outhwaite who all helped to promote the project.
