Notes on the Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2008

This isn't a complete assessment of candidates and I probably won't cast a full set of votes.

Of those candidates that I have actually considered supporting, so far I've voted for Carcharoth, Casliber, Coren, Lankiveil, Vassyana, User:Fish and karate, Risker and Wizardman, against SirFozzie, Jayvdb and WJBScribe, and abstained on Rlevse and Roger Davies.

I have abstained from voting on previous or returning Arbcom members.

Jayvdb

I am actually sorry to feel the need to oppose here for his stance on own votes.[1] I appreciate the felt obligation to vote to help picking the right people, but having a standing candidate trying to make his own public vote as effective as possible in the first hours is disconcerting.

Coren and Carcharoth

Not without reservations in each case, but they might complement each other nicely, so I'll try to vote a ticket here, although not really possible.
