Host Country Agreement A host country agreement gives the beneficiary party a measure of extraterritoriality. A host country agreement for an international organization covered by the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations is designed to ensure that the provisions of that convention are applied. It applies immunity to international officials, as well as other agreements that are included, for example, how national taxes are assessed.
International organizations cannot be sued in national courts.
