From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wuzetka (somtimes spelled WZK) is a type of sweet cake, consisting of cocoa sponge cake, jam, whipped cream, and chocolate pomades.

The cake’s base consists of eggs, sugar, wheat flour, and cocoa. After the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, the dough is baked at a temperature of about 180 ° C. Once it has baked and cooled, the cake is moistened with a punch, then layered with whipped cream. The cake’s upper layer is thinly spread with jam, then covered with chocolate pomade. The top is decorated with whipped cream using a pastry decorating gun.

The cake can be found in both cafes and pastry shops, but has also found a place on home menus as well.

The dessert was named at the turn of the 40s and 50s in the 20th century, after the W-Z route in Warsaw, neat which one of the pastry shops offering the cake was located. [2]. According to another theory, the name "wuzetka" comes from the acronym "WZK", which stands for “wypiek z kremem” (baked with cream).
