David Heale ... Is a renown french polisher & one of the last to of served a traditional apprenticeship. Originally serving at Kinsey's of Hale,Cheshire, he left following a company take over & estabilished his own busines in 1971 & has always traded under his own name.

At Kinsey's he was taught the skills of cabinet making. Once this was mastered he then went on the learn the skills of traditional & modern french polishing. His works included new works sent off for Royal approval & restorations.

Having established himself David Heale was then able to work on a variety of other projects. One of these was to work on & over see all the French Polishing works to Rookery Hall in Cheshire during refurbishment works in 1989. One of his tasks was to age new timber wall pannelling to marry in with the character or the original architecture of the building. This went on to be mistakingly recognised as antique by a television documentry for Granada TV.

David also contributed to the resurgence of "limed" furniture during the 1990's. A re-furbishment project at the Ritz hotel london had included this long forgotten technique that was becoming popular in Italy. David had a knowledge of this style of woodfinishing & produced the finsish which went on to become extremely popular in the homes of businessmen & footballers alike.
