Clyde Thomas Rollins, Jr new article content ... Clyde Thomas Rollins, Jr. was born August 3, 1952 in Greensboro N.C.; died July 14, 2016. He was a composer of highly unique and original music, stemming from jazz, funk, rock and Mediterranean musics but also the western classical tradition, and scored his compositions. They can be performed live, improvisatory though they might seem. He studied formally with Robert Ward (1975–78) at the NC School of the Arts, and Frank McCarty at UNC Greensboro (1981–84).
