Violet Courtyard
[edit]Violet Courtyard is an American alternative rock and pop band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2020. The group is known for their indie-pop style, blending melodic guitar work with synth-driven production.
History
[edit]Violet Courtyard was founded in Knoxville by Ajay Kidd (lead singer and multi-instrumentalist), Brennan Cheatwood (producer, mixing/mastering engineer, and drummer), and Harrison Southard (drummer and production assistant). Kidd performs the majority of guitar, bass, and synth parts, while Cheatwood handles production and drum recordings.
The band takes inspiration from indie and alternative artists such as Far Caspian, Homes at Night, Yot Club, Dayglow, and Wallows.
