P.H.S. Hydrotor S.A. – Polish manufacturer of hydraulics which includes hydraulic cylinders, gear pumps, directional and hydraulic valves. The company is located in Tuchola. The Hydrotor is the owner of the Zakład Elementów Hydrauliki Siłowej Agromet ZEHS Lubań S.A., Wytwórnia Pomp Hydraulicznych WPH Wrocław Ltd., Hydraulika Siłowa HS Hydrotorbis Tuchola Ltd. and Więcborskie Zakłady Metalowe WZM Wizamor Więcbork Ltd.
History[edit]
The roots of the P.H.S. Hydrotor S.A. go back to 1945, it was the year of establishment of the Państwowe Przedsiębiorstwo Traktorów i Maszyn Rolniczych (State-owned Agricultural Machinery Enterprise).
Until 1966 this enterprise had specialized in performing major overhauls of tractor engines and manufactured spare parts for agricultural machinery.
As of January 1, 1966, there was a change in the profile of business. The Państwowy Ośrodek Maszynowy POM Tuchola (also the state-owned enterprise) was established, it started industrial refurbishment and repair of components and sub-assemblies for tractors and agricultural machinery.
Production of hydraulic parts & components was started in the seventies, and so, in 1975 oil pumps were included in the existing range of products.
The P.H.S. Hydrotor S.A. was established In December 1991 as a result of transformation of the former state-owned enterprise.
Since 1992, significant investments have been made in machinery and equipment, primarily in numerically controlled machine tools, machining centers, milling machines and complex computerization of the Company.. Since the establishment of the P.H.S. Hydrotor S.A. special attention has been paid to the enhancement of its production capacity. It was necessary due to very dynamic growth of its sales and an expansion of the product range. As a confirmation of high standards of production in July 1996 the company was awarded the ISO 9001:94 Certificate from the TÜV SÜD. certification body. Currently the company holds the ISO 9001: 2008 ISO 9001:2008 Certificate.
Since 1998 the P.H.S. Hydrotor S.A. shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In 2012 the company created its new department, the Large Part Machining Department. It was created as a result of research and development works carried out within the project POIG.1.4-4.1 „Development and implementation of innovative technologies for highly effective precision machining processes and measurement of large-sized machine parts”. The project was co-financed from the EU funds under the European Regional Development Fund. It was implemented in cooperation with the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, and Frauenhofer Institut in Dresden. The department has the largest measuring machine in Poland - ZEISS MMZ G 30 60 20. In May 2017, the Large Part Machining Department was awarded the Mikromat 4.0 Certificate of compliance with the MS191 (Industry 4.0) precision machining standards.

Apart from hydraulic pumps, the company produces hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pumps, power packs, different valves, hydraulic locks, valve blocks and manually operated pumps. The company is also engaged in repair and refurbishment of hydraulic parts, including own products and products of other manufacturers. The company also offers services of machining steel, aluminum and cast iron for a number of manufacturers in Poland and abroad. Since 2012 the company has a large part machining department.
