Welcome to Vicenarian's adoption program. My goal is to help guide new editors and help them become amongst the best on Wikipedia. If you would like to become one of my adoptees, please contact me.

[edit]Program Procedures
[edit]My program has a "classroom" and an "in-the-field" component. In order for an adoptee to successfully complete the adoption process, he or she must first complete my classroom courses, the required courses and at least two of the optional courses. (See below.) After completion of all the necessary courses, the adoptee will receieve a test. The test will be designed specifically for the adoptee, based upon level of experience and optional courses taken. Adoptees must complete the test with an 85% or higher to pass; if not, a repeat test will be scheduled after the material missed is discussed with the adoptee. Once an adoptee has passed, the classroom component is complete. At this point, adoptees should go out into Wikipedia and get their hands dirty with a variety of editorial tasks (if they haven't been doing so already). I will be will be monitoring contributions and providing constructive criticism along the way. Once an adoptee has demonstrated that he or she has a clear understanding of the classroom content, knowledge of Wikipedia's core policies and guidelines and a proven ability to effectively and civilly communicate with other users, he or she will officially graduate from my adoption program. Of course, former adoptees are encouraged to keep in touch and ask questions. Good luck and happy editing!
Procedures current as of 13 September 2009 19:30 (UTC). Subject to change with notice as I fully flesh out my program.
