Rakesh Bharti Mittal Rakesh Bharti Mittal is Vice-Chairman and Managing Director at Bharti Enterprises. He is the is Chairman of Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Bharti AXA General Insurance, FieldFresh Foods, Comviva Technologies, Centum Learning and Beetel Teletech. Rakesh is also a Director on the Board of Bharti Airtel.
Rakesh is Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Council for Agriculture. He is also the Chairman of CII’s Task Force on Agriculture and Water. He has been a Member of the National Council since 1999 and the past Chairman of CII’s Northern Region and various other National Committees of the industry body. Rakesh is also a member of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). He is also a member of the Assam Investment Advisory Board
A passionate advocate of the right to good education, Rakesh serves on the Boards of several educational institutions. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and the Campus Advisory Board [CAB] of ISB, Mohali. He is also a member the Punjab Education Development Board. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Delhi, Pearl School of Business and Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, USA.
