Cougar Cub Tales Cougar Cub Tales is a children's picture book series written and illustrated by Sharon Cramer. The books are about the ongoing adventures of a cougar cub brother and sister. The stories are written in rhyme and the author addresses a different childhood issue with each tale. The first book in the series considers sibling rivalry. Cougar Cub Tales: Lost and Alone was originally published in softbound edition only, by Gray Dog Press in Spokane, Washington and won a Silver Mom's Choice Award for best picture book in 2010. In the second book, Cougar Cub Tales: I'm Just Like You, the author addresses non-acceptance and intolerance. With I'm Just Like You, Gray Dog Press struggled with the binding of the larger layout of the second book and the author sought a different publisher and media company. As a result, on December 1, 2010, both of the books were released in hardbound edition by B and F Publishing, also in Spokane, Washington and Crown Media & Printing in Post Falls, Idaho.
Author Bio: Sharon Cramer was born in Jamestown, New York in 1960. She is married and has three sons. The first of the Cougar Cub Tales, Lost and Alone, was originally written and illustrated for her third son when he was born in l995.
