Tim Waterman (born 10 June 1969, San Diego, California) is a landscape architect, urbanist, writer and teacher. He has come to prominence for his energetic championing of the profession of landscape architecture, of which his recent books are evidence. These are Fundamentals of Landscape Architecture (2009) and Basics Landscape Architecture: Urban Design (2010) (with Ed Wall).
His present research interests focus on representation in landscape design process and food, taste, and the social and physical construction of urban spaces. Waterman is honorary editor of Landscape, the Journal of the Landscape Institute. He teaches at the Writtle School of Design, Writtle College in Essex, England and lives in London.
