Azadar-e-Karbala Syed Wajhi Hassan Zaidi, عزادار کربلا سید وجیہ حسن زیدی (1983) (alternatively, عزادار کربلا سید وجیہ حسن زیدی ) (born Raza Hassan Al-Zaidi) (Arabic: عزادار کربلا سید وجیہ حسن زیدی) is a Shia eulogy (latmiya) reciter.[1][2]

He was born in the city of Karachi, Pakistan in 1983, he participated in processions in Karachi Pakistan which were held in mourning of Muhammad and Ahl al-Bayt (people of the household [of the prophet]), who Shi'as regard highly. he began learning how to read Qur'an and Manqabat and Nawhas which helped soften and improve his voice.[2] He has read thousands of poems regarding Muhammad and his Ahl al-Bayt both in mourning and celebration of them.[3] He has recited in Kuwait, Iraq, UAE, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, United States, Syria, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and London, UK.

He used to read for many poets however was famous for reading poems written by Dr Majid Raza Abidi, NOOR ALI NOOR, MOHIB FAZLI, MEHSHAR LUCKNOWI, Yasir Raza Yasir, however after 2007 he started to read more from poets like PROF SIBT-E-JAFFAR SHAHEED, DR REHAN AAZMI and MAULANA BILAL KAZMI. WAJHI HASSAN has recorded several albums and has recited In mosques and ImamBargahs. Wajhi Hassan's recitations have appeared on many Shia channels such as Such Tv, Shia TV, Ahlaybait TV, Hadi TV, Hidayat TV, Al Forat, Al Anwar, AhlulBayt Channel, Zahra TV and Karbala TV.[citation needed]

HISTORY: ALL the Praise Due to Allah, the Ever lasting the Ever Existing and all salaam’s and durood’s on the most supreme creation of Allah, Mohammad (P.B.U.H) and his pure Ahlulbait A.S for whose maddha & marefat is obligatory on every muslim. Syed Wajhi Hassan Zaidi, was born in Karachi Pakistan on 11th september & 11th of Zyqad 1983. He is well known as (AZADAR-E-KARBALA & SAFEER-E-MIDHAT) because of his sparkling and beautiful voice. He is the son of Syed Shaida Hassan zaidi. He has two younger brother’s Syed Sabih Hasan Zaidi & Syed Askari Hassan Zaidi. he has started reciting Manqbat, Noha and Salam Khuwani in his childhood some time during 1987-88 with his younger brother Syed Sabeeh Hassan Zaidi, who now lives in Islamic Republic of Iran.

His family belongs to a Sadat of Muzaffar Nagar, UP, India. His grand father (late) Dada: Syed Khaleeq Hussain Zaidi, Grand mother (late) Dadi, Syeda Hasan Fatima. (Grand father(nana) Syed Wasi Haider Zaidi. (Grand Mother) Nani (late) – Syeda Masoom Fatima(Jawwadi). It was his nani that actually encouraged him to recite Salam, Nauha and Manqabat/Qaseeda. It was the influence of his maternal as well as his paternal family that built his confidence and supported him to recite Noha, and manqabat. It was his grand parent’s vision and hard work for this devotional act of Allah (swt) and Aiymmah (As) that subsequently created a profound devotion and understanding with this pious act of recital of Noha and manqabat. Indeed, it was his family tradition that they simply nurture, in the successive generations of their grand children. As he grew up in his youth, he was blessed by Allah (swt) and paius masoomeen with a wondrous voice. The attraction and sweet melodious quality of his voice quickly started winning the hearts and minds of those who were listening to his great Noha and manqabat. He became a leading recital voice of the South East Asia.

It was a matter of time that the magic of his voice started spreading beyond Pakistan, and he went to Tanzania in 2008. He then travel to Iraq, Iran, and Syria for recitation and Ziyrat on many occasions. He was invited to (Bangalore) India in 2009 for the birthday ceremony of Maula Abbas a.s on 4th Shabaan celebrated in Bangalore. At this stage He has already travelled the length and breath across Pakistan. He has recently traveled to United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Republic Of Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and United States Of America on many occasions. He has released more than 16 Albums to date with latest Album 2015: “ANA MAJNOON AL ALI” available on various websites. His style of recitation begins with Almighty Allah (swt) and then through the Prophet of Islam in the good old tradition of Ahlul- Bait, He praise and pay his respects to Holy Ahlul bait (A.S) with utmost passion and intense devotion. It lifts him, and gives him immense sense of honor and deep satisfaction to recite his poetries and the poetry of great writers of our times. In the end AZADAR-EKARBALA WAJHI HASSAN is very thankful to our creator almighty Allah S.W.T & Ahlulbait A.S. and he also would like to thanks to his parent’s, grand parent’s, friend's relative’s and all his well wisher’s.
